Weekly Thoughts


As famed Civil Rights leader Whitney M. Young once proclaimed, "It's better to prepared for an opportuntity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared."  Too often, we find ourselves being reactive to situations rather than intentionally and proactively pursuing our goals with passion.  I told my students recently that I recommend that they put aside five to ten dollars per week for the "someday" fund.  Someday, they may want to take a trip abroad; someday, they might want to make a down payment on a house.  If you don't have it, you can't do it.  

Think about it -- what could you possibly lose by doing this?  I mean, if you never apply to that dream goal, you'll have it for something else!
